Dr. Jena Chang
Osteopath - Available Mondays and Thursdays
Dr. Jena is an experienced and passionate osteopath born and raised in Melbourne. She may be a small practitioner but don’t be fooled by her size!! Since graduating from RMIT University in 2013, she has worked in several clinics around Melbourne, allowing her to gain much experience in treating people of all shapes, ages, professions and backgrounds.
Jena strives to listen, understand and be honest with her patients. Because every ‘body’ is different, there is no ‘one-size fits all’ approach with Jena; every consult is completely bespoke. Her objective is to motivate and educate her patients in co- and self-managing their pain according to their lifestyle, beliefs and interests. Her goals as an osteopath are to:

Dr. Alexis Page
Osteopath - Available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays
Alexis’ passion in life is osteopathy and the human body, and appreciates that she has found it every single day. She is inspired by the capabilities of the human body and truly believes that you can do anything you put your mind to. She is a basketball enthusiast, having played since she was 5 and is still heavily involved in the sport today, so treating sports injuries is one of her interests. Being a basketball coach and swimming instructor, she also loves working with teens and finds it extremely rewarding.
During your consultation with Alexis, she will help you understand what is going on with their pain specifically, which is very important in your recovery, so you can better understand how to help yourself too. One of the unique things about Alexis is that she works with her patients closely to reach their goals in getting back to their sport, or to go back to normal life pain free. She will treat you as an individual because every person and injury is different.

Dr. Pete Lockhart
Osteopath - Available Tuesdays
Dr. Pete was born in Boston Massachusetts and raised in Sydney. Pete holds a Masters in Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Clinical Science from Southern Cross University in Lismore. He has gained experience from working in a number of clinics across Northern New South Wales and South Eastern Queensland.
Pete was fascinated with osteopathy due the dynamic treatment approach in the resolution of musculoskeletal pain. He prides himself on offering experienced pragmatic management strategies coupled with clear communication. Pete’s treatments focus on pain mitigation, improved functionality and the promotion of patient resilience. His style of treatment blends progressive pain academia with classic osteopathic techniques. Pete uses a wide range of methods including trigger point work, strain counter strain, mobilisation, manipulation, dry needling, and exercise rehabilitation.
Pete sees a wide range of presentations from injury recovery, sports performance, chronic issues and generalist management. He integrates his experience with personal training to best solidify ongoing pain relief.

Dr. Bryan Dinh
Osteopath - Available Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays
Bryan is a passionate and fully qualified Osteopath having completed his Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and Masters in Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University. Bryan was initially drawn to Osteopathy through this love of helping others as well as his love for sport. Having grown up around the local area, Bryan played football and basketball at the mighty Whitehorse Colts and Blackburn Vikings. He loves meeting others in the community and is always on the lookout for the best local coffee joints.
Bryan is truly fascinated around the complexity of the human body. He believes that each body is designed to have everything that person needs, and it is up to both the patient and practitioner to unlock its full potential. Bryan has a holistic approach to treatment as he believes that re-educating the whole system of the body is more effective than treating isolated joints/muscles. His approach may consist of a combination of hands on treatment, education, dry needling as well as exercises specifically tailored to each patient. Through this, Bryan aims to help each patient achieve greater wellbeing, strength and performance, which may lead to better long term outcomes. Bryan is happy to conduct consultations in Cantonese if required

Penny Kafkalakis
Massage Therapist - Available Wednesdays and Fridays
Penny is an experienced remedial massage therapist that specialises in sports and deep tissue massage. She has been working with bodies for over 10 years as a personal trainer and she focus on rehabilitation and mobility in your appointment. Strengthening weak underused muscles and releasing the overworked tight muscles. Her ultimate goal with you is to promote self care, prevent pain and discomfort in the body.
Penny takes each person as an individual. There is no one way to treat everybody. The treatment received needs to be something the patient believes and trusts for them, their lifestyle and their bodies.
She is involved in basketball, played since she was 6 years old and started her coaching and referee career when she was 12 years old. Treating injuries and getting player/athletes back onto the court is one of her passions.
Penny has her Diploma of Sport Development, Diploma of Athlete Support Services and her Diploma in Remedial Massage. She endeavours to increase her knowledge to then be able to share and educate each of her clients to become autonomous.

Alissa Gillies
Marketing & Social Media Co-Ordinator & Customer Service Assistant
Prior to joining the team at Box Hill Osteopathy Alissa has worked in both the Real Estate and Telecommunication industries. Alissa is ready to progress into the allied health industry and brings with her a wealth of knowledge, experience and an enthusiastic attitude to the team.
Throughout her real estate career Alissa managed the social media platforms as well as the advertising and marketing of properties. She had a passion for digital marketing and went on to manage her friends and families business pages as a side business to build her portfolio.
Alissa has a client-centred approach to her work along with her creative flare she brings into her multiple roles within the company and is an asset to the team.

Amy Williams
Receptionist
Amy joined Box Hill Osteopathy in October 2019 and works as a Receptionist. Amy has just completed year 12 and is looking forward to a year away from studies. Amy’s intentions are to a study for a degree in media and television. Away from the practice, Amy loves creative art making short films and enjoys spending time with her family.


Alana Wolkowski
Clinic Director & Owner
Alana started as the Box Hill Osteopathy Clinic Owner & Director in December 2020. As a Registered Nurse, she is wholly of the mindset that the patient is at the centre of everything a clinician does.
Alana feels passionately about creating an environment for staff whereby they have the framework and empowerment to do their jobs well and happily. She understands that well looked after staff equals well looked after clients!
